Larch Park is a new community development in Edmonton that celebrates ecology and architecture. It is an environmentally-intelligent neighbourhood situated adjacent to a natural park setting. The neighbourhood overlooks the Whitemud Creek Ravine and the “Oxbow”, an important nesting ground for many birds, including northern flickers, nuthatches, and goldfinches. The four principles that guide the development are: pursue architectural excellence, build greener buildings, make it compact, diverse & connected, conserve & create natural habitat.
